Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and again I apologize for my n00b understanding of this I'm just not really sure what to do here. The file has a bunch of chapters as well, as it was ripped off a Blu-ray disk I believe Idk if this information is relevant but - Stream 0 codec is av01, 1 is Opus, 2 is mp4a, 3 is mp4a, 4 and 5 are ssa. I've also tried ffmpeg -i movie.mkv -c:v copy -c:a copy -c:s mov_text -map 0:v -map 0:a -map 0:s movie.mp4 which keeps the audio file, but not the actual video itself.
I then tried -map 0:v -map 0:a to copy audio streams and ffmpeg -i input.mkv -filter_complex "subtitles=input.mkv:si=0" `-map ""` -map 0:a:0 -c:a copy output.mp4 to "burn in" subtitles. I used the command >ffmpeg -i "myfilename.mkv" -c copy -map 0 "myfilename.mp4" for the basic converting, which means the video is only able to open on VLC media. Please correct me if I'm wrong though, it could very well be something else. I've snooped around on this forum and found some information regarding removing or "converting" subtitles into an mp4, but it did not resolve my issue. The video I am converting has subtitles, which is why I'm pretty sure its not working. I use Magix to edit, so when I thought I'd successfully converted the file, I went to load it up in Magix and it was not supported.

They've never really given me an issue when I convert them with ffmpeg to mp4, however this time around I cannot for the life of me figure out how to convert the specific file I'll be talking about. I make video edits, and the videos I download are typically in the mkv format. So I apologize in advance if I use any wrong terminology or don't understand the complexities of some of the things I will be asking about. I've only dabbled with it here and there with the most basic of stuff, which is what has led me to writing here. I just want to preface this by saying I know close to nothing about ffmpeg and converting video formats.

EDIT: Sorry, I originally said I used Sony Vegas however I actually use Magix, Im just so used to saying SV since Ive been using the software since 2012.
